Jennifer Trask – mixed media sculpture & jewelry

Erin Ulcickas – artist & founder of High Vibe Society

 ERIN ULCICKAS, an experimental artist and relatively new local to the S Lake Tahoe community as well as the founder of High Vibe Society, an artist collective.  Erin has been practicing various forms of art since 2008 and built a successful arts-based business in Wilmington, NC, where she learned first-hand how hard it can be to flourish with inadequate resources, lack of exposure to the local market and no mentorship.  Today we’ll be talking about how this experience has been the catalyst for HVS, her vision and how this community may participate.

Amanda Dow Thompson – conceptual wood sculptor

AMANDA DOW THOMPSON, whose conceptual & abstract sculptural work in wood has been exhibited at The Royal College of Art in London and The Grand Rapids Public Museum, in Michigan, joins us from her home in Manhattan, NY.  Amanda received her BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design and a BA in English Literature from The University of London.  She has participated in over 35 group and solo shows and art fairs around the world and collaborated with Antonio Moran and completed a residency and solo show at the Espacio Moran de Arte Contemporaneo in Caceres, Spain.

TAL’s 10th Annual Artist Studio Tour w Walt & Connie

WALT STEVENSON, co-chair of the Tahoe Art League’s 10th Annual Artist Studio Tour, & CONNIE CLARK, President of the T.A.L.  Walt is also a teaching professor at Golden Gate University in S.F. and silk painting & watercolor artist, while Connie is a photographer who retired after 38 yrs as a business banker.  Today we will be talking about this important annual event (Jul 29-31 & Aug 5-7), Connie's & Walt’s art, as well as T.A.L.’s efforts re its arts programming & role in the Arts of the South Shore.

John Dayberry & Hayley Chamarro – mentoring & public art in SLT

JOHN DAYBERRY - designer & builder of "Installation Art" and owner of Native Elements - and HAYLEY CHAMARRO - STHS graduate of 2016, artist and photographer - collaborated to create the artistic & historically relevant cover for new Lakeview Commons fire pit in SLT.  This piece of functional Public Art that has aesthetic as well as historical & cultural elements is just one example of how Art can uplift and bring community together.  We will be diving into how this project came about, its significance & story as art, personal opinions re the Arts and education, etc.

Gallery 5830′ w co-founder Troy Corliss

TROY CORLISS is co-founder & co-owner of Gallery 5830’, an artist collective located at the Squeeze In building on commercial row in Truckee, CA.  Troy and co-founders Chris Nelson and Reid Thomas (all artists) opened the gallery in Nov 2015 with the intent of creating their own unique gallery & identity and more firmly establishing Truckee as an Arts destination.  Way to go, guys!
